At Baler, we strive to cater for all of our student’s learning needs and capabilities. We are proud to offer a unique extension and enrichment program for students who demonstrate extraordinary capability in English or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
In 2024, we commenced an enrichment and extension program for Year Two and Year Three students which has been a resounding success and helped challenge and inspire our academically gifted students. The program has been facilitated by Mrs Melissa Hatwell, a parent of two students at Baler Primary School as well as a qualified teacher, with significant experience teaching children who are gifted or have extraordinary academic ability.
In 2025, we will be looking at extending the program to more year level groups to continue supporting our students who show exceptional ability in one curriculum area or more.
